Passing Paws ("we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website or use our services. Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with the terms of this policy, please discontinue use of our site.

Information We Collect

We may collect personal information that you voluntarily provide to us when you:

  • Complete a contact form on our website
  • Call us directly by telephone
  • Email us at info@passingpaws.com
  • Subscribe to our newsletter
  • Request a service or schedule an appointment

The types of personal information we may collect include your name, email address, phone number, physical address, and information about your pet (type, name, approximate weight). We collect only the information necessary to provide our services to you.

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect in the following ways:

  • To schedule and coordinate services you have requested
  • To respond to your inquiries and provide customer support
  • To send you relevant information about our services if you have opted in
  • To process payments for services rendered
  • To improve our website and service offerings
  • To comply with applicable legal obligations

We Do Not Sell Your Information

Passing Paws does not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise transfer your personal information to third parties for marketing or commercial purposes. Period. Your information is used solely to serve you and coordinate the care you have requested.

Service Providers Who Help Deliver Your Care

To deliver the service you asked us for, we share the minimum information necessary with the providers who help us operate — our form submission provider, our payment processor, and our SMS provider. These providers act only on our instructions, are contractually obligated to keep your information confidential, and may not use it for their own purposes. We do not sell, rent, or trade your information, and we do not work with marketing affiliates or lead-generation networks of any kind.

In-Home Euthanasia — Saving Grace Veterinary Services

If you request in-home euthanasia, that visit is performed by Saving Grace Veterinary Services, a separate licensed veterinary practice. Because they are the ones attending your pet, we pass them only what they need to carry out the visit you requested — your name, address, contact number, and your pet’s details. This is the delivery of a service you asked for, not a marketing arrangement: we receive nothing for the referral, and no information is shared for marketing or promotional purposes.

Saving Grace does not send text messages under our messaging program and receives no text-messaging consent data. Passing Paws is the only sender of the SMS messages described below. Saving Grace communicates with you separately and under their own privacy practices.

SMS/Text Messaging

If you provide your mobile phone number and opt in — for example, by checking the SMS consent box on our contact form or on our online appointment request form — Passing Paws may send you text (SMS) messages related to your inquiry and your pet's care, such as scheduling, pickup and delivery coordination, status updates, payment reminders, and replies to your questions. These are conversational, care-related messages, not marketing.

We do not share, sell, or provide your mobile phone number or messaging consent data to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Your text messaging opt-in and consent data are never sold or rented, and are never shared with anyone for marketing or promotional purposes. The only parties that ever handle it are the service providers who technically deliver the messages on our behalf (such as our SMS provider), acting solely on our instructions and only as needed to send the message you asked for.

Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message; reply HELP for help, or contact us at (626) 340-0000. Consenting to receive texts is not a condition of purchasing any service. For the full messaging terms, see our Terms of Service.

Cookies and Website Analytics

Our website may use cookies — small text files stored on your device — to improve your browsing experience and understand how visitors use our site. We may use basic analytics tools (such as Google Analytics) to measure site traffic in aggregate, anonymized form. You may disable cookies in your browser settings at any time, though this may affect some site functionality.

Data Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. While we take data security seriously, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Data Retention

We retain your personal information only as long as necessary to provide our services, fulfill the purposes outlined in this policy, and comply with our legal obligations. Service records may be retained for a reasonable period for administrative and legal purposes.

Your Rights (California Residents)

If you are a California resident, you have the following rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA):

  • The right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used
  • The right to request deletion of your personal information
  • The right to opt out of the sale of your personal information (we do not sell it)
  • The right to non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights

To exercise any of these rights, please contact us at info@passingpaws.com or call (626) 340-0000.

Children's Privacy

Our website is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it.

Our website may contain links to third-party websites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of those sites, and we encourage you to review their privacy policies independently before sharing any personal information.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Your continued use of our website following any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
