Our home city

Glendale isn’t part of our service area — it’s the center of it

Glendale is the center of everything we do — not one more city on a list. When you call us about pet cremation, you’re reaching people who drive these same streets, know the afternoon slowdown on Glenoaks Boulevard, and walk their own dogs beneath the Verdugo Mountains.

Getting around this city means knowing its contrasts: courtyard apartments and towers downtown, hairpin streets climbing Adams Hill, long driveways tucked into Verdugo Woodlands and Chevy Chase Canyon. Our home pickup service was built around exactly that. On the hardest day, you never need to carry your pet to a car or find parking anywhere. Our staff come to your door — third-floor walk-up or canyon cul-de-sac — and handle everything from there, gently and without hurry.

How home pickup works

Call (626) 340-0000 and we’ll arrange a time that works for your family. Then we come to you — a courtyard apartment off Central Avenue, a 1920s Spanish house in Rossmoyne, a home up Chevy Chase Drive where the street narrows and the oaks close in.

Our staff transport your pet with the same care we’d want for our own — whether that’s a parakeet, an old orange cat, or a shepherd mix pushing 110 pounds. Stairs, steep driveways, and tight streets are simply part of working in this city, and we’re used to all of them. You stay home. We do the driving.

Flame or water

Your choices, explained plainly

Private cremation means your pet is cremated individually, with a Cremation Identification Tag that never leaves their side from pickup to return — the ashes that come home are solely your pet’s. Communal cremation is a simpler option in which pets are cremated together and ashes are not returned; some families find it right for them, and we’ll never steer you either way. Aquamation uses water rather than flame — a quieter, gentler process that a growing number of families ask for by name.

Whether you’re arranging dog cremation in Glendale or cat cremation for a companion of many years, we’ll explain each option plainly and answer every question. Ashes are hand-delivered back to your door, typically two to three weeks after pickup, and we’ll tell you what to expect at each step along the way.

The Cremation Identification Tag

How you know the ashes are your pet’s

Passing Paws CREMATION  ID

You know because of the Cremation Identification Tag — a tag that is your pet’s alone and never leaves their side, so the ashes that come home can only be theirs.

A

At pickup — whether that’s a downtown apartment or a home up in the canyons — your pet receives their own Cremation Identification Tag.

B

The tag stays with your pet through transport and through the cremation itself — never set aside, never swapped, from the first moment to the last.

With the tag beside your pet the whole way, and your pet cremated individually, the ashes hand-delivered back to your Glendale door can only be theirs.

  5. The homecoming

When the kindest goodbye is at home

In-home euthanasia in Glendale

Some families know their pet’s last day should unfold in a familiar place — a sunny spot on the living-room floor, a backyard under the jacarandas. For those families, in-home pet euthanasia in Glendale is available through Saving Grace Veterinary Services, a separate licensed veterinary practice. A veterinarian comes to your home so the goodbye can be calm and unhurried, surrounded by the people your pet loves.

Afterward, if you wish, we take care of the transport and cremation arrangements ourselves — one less set of phone calls on a day when phone calls are hard.

Something to hold onto

Many of the pets who come into our care spent their years on this city’s sidewalks and trails — mornings in Brand Park, the fire roads above Beaudry Boulevard, slow loops around Verdugo Park. Something to hold onto is already part of the goodbye.
