Gentle care for Burbank families
Burbank runs on early mornings — crews heading to the studio lots of the Media District, dogs being walked along the Chandler Bikeway before the heat sets in, school drop-offs threading through Magnolia Park. Pets are woven into that daily rhythm, and when one of them passes, the whole household feels the quiet. Passing Paws provides pet cremation for Burbank families, and we can typically be at your door within two hours of your call.
Burbank homes don’t come in one shape, and neither do our pickups. We come to apartments and condos near downtown, bungalows on the tree-lined streets off Magnolia Boulevard, hillside houses up toward the Verdugo Mountains, and the horse properties of the Rancho district beside Griffith Park. You never need to drive anywhere. Our staff comes to you and carries your pet out with the same care we would want for our own.
We answer the phone from 8am to 8pm, every day of the week, at (626) 340-0000. Whether you are planning ahead or your pet has just passed, we will walk you through exactly what happens next — calmly, clearly, and with no pressure.

Home pickup
Pickup That Fits Every Kind of Burbank Home
Home pickup is the heart of what we do: you never have to lift your pet into a car or find parking somewhere unfamiliar. Our staff comes to your door, whether that is a condo near San Fernando Boulevard, a bungalow off Magnolia, or a house in the hills below Stough Canyon. We handle the carrying and the transport ourselves, gently and without hurry.
That includes the Rancho, Burbank’s equestrian pocket beside Griffith Park, where families often share their homes with more animals than most. We care for pets of every size — the parakeet in a Magnolia Park kitchen and the hundred-and-ten-pound shepherd who believes he is a lap dog alike — and every one of them is treated with the same respect.
Home pickup · every neighborhoodEvery mile, handled by us
Every Mile of the Journey, Handled by Our Own Team
We come to you anywhere in Burbank — the hillside streets above Kenneth Road, the apartments and condos downtown, the horse properties of the Rancho Equestrian District. From the moment we arrive, our team handles every mile ourselves: your pet is carried to our vehicle by us, accompanied to the crematorium for cremation, and received back by us — and then we call you to arrange hand delivery home.
If you choose private cremation, your pet is cremated individually, and a Cremation Identification Tag travels with them from our first knock to the final handoff — so the ashes returned to you are solely your pet’s. Communal cremation is a simpler option in which ashes are not returned. Either way, the price you hear on the first phone call is the whole price: communal cremation is $249, private cremation is $399, and aquamation is $449 — flat rates for every pet, every size, with no weight tiers or hidden fees. Everything each service includes is laid out on our full flat-rate pricing page. Ashes typically come back to you within two to three weeks of pickup.
Water instead of flame
Water Instead of Flame: Pet Aquamation
Alongside traditional dog cremation and cat cremation, Burbank families can choose pet aquamation, which uses warm water rather than flame to gently return your pet to ashes. Some families simply find the idea softer; others choose it for environmental reasons. We are glad to explain both options in plain terms so you can decide what feels right, without a nudge in either direction.
A goodbye at home
A Quiet Goodbye in the Rancho, on Chandler, or Wherever Home Is
In the Rancho, that last morning might come in the barn aisle, with the horses looking on from their stalls; off Magnolia, it might be a shaded backyard where an old dog has napped through a dozen summers. When Burbank families sense the time is coming, many would rather the goodbye happen there than in a clinic. For in-home pet euthanasia in Burbank, we work with Saving Grace Veterinary Services, a separate licensed veterinary practice whose veterinarians come to your home. Afterward, if you wish, our staff can take it from there, so you never have to manage the logistics yourself.
Many families also ask about keepsakes. Some are already yours: every private cremation and aquamation includes a clay paw print on a gold display stand, and private cremation also comes with an aromatic cedar urn and a fur clipping at no extra charge. Beyond those, additional prints ($50 clay, $35 ink), memorial jewelry, and biodegradable urns are available if they would help — never required, never pushed.
