Please read these terms carefully before using our services.
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Passing Paws website located at passingpaws.com and your engagement with any services provided by Passing Paws, LLC ("Company," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing our website or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our website or services.
Passing Paws provides pet cremation, home pickup, memorial keepsakes, and related pet aftercare services in the greater Los Angeles area. We also coordinate in-home veterinary euthanasia services in partnership with Saving Grace Veterinary Services, a separate and independent licensed veterinary practice.
Services are provided as described on our website and as confirmed with you during scheduling. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any service at any time with reasonable notice, except for services already scheduled and confirmed.
Services are considered confirmed once you speak with a Passing Paws representative by telephone and receive verbal confirmation of your scheduled appointment. We will provide you with the full price of your service at the time of scheduling. That quoted price will be honored at the time of service, subject to the conditions described in these Terms.
You are responsible for ensuring that a responsible adult is present at the scheduled pickup location at the agreed time. If no one is available at the scheduled time, we will make reasonable efforts to contact you and reschedule.
Payment for services is due at the time of service or as otherwise arranged in advance by telephone. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Zelle, Venmo, and cash. All prices are quoted in U.S. dollars.
If you have arranged a payment plan or deferred payment, the terms of that arrangement will be confirmed in writing or by email. Failure to complete payment as agreed may result in withholding of remains until the balance is paid in full.
Due to the nature of our services, no refunds will be issued after cremation services have been performed. If you need to cancel or reschedule a pickup prior to our arrival, please contact us as soon as possible at (626) 340-0000. We will work with you to accommodate any changes to the extent reasonably possible.
Keepsake products that have been custom-made or personalized are non-refundable. If a product arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours of receipt and we will make it right.
Passing Paws offers private (individual) cremation, communal cremation, and aquamation (a water-based alternative to flame cremation). When you select private cremation, your pet is cremated alone — never alongside other animals — and a Cremation Identification Tag accompanies your pet throughout the process to ensure the accurate return of remains. Communal cremation does not include the return of remains.
In the extremely unlikely event of an error in identification of a private cremation, we will take all reasonable steps to investigate and resolve the matter. Our liability in such cases is limited as described in Section 8 below.
In-home euthanasia is provided by Saving Grace Veterinary Services, an independent, licensed veterinary practice. Passing Paws acts as a coordinator and does not provide or supervise veterinary medical services. All veterinary decisions, procedures, and responsibilities rest solely with Saving Grace Veterinary Services and the attending veterinarian.
Passing Paws is not responsible for any veterinary outcomes, decisions, or complications arising from in-home euthanasia appointments. Any concerns about the veterinary service should be directed to Saving Grace Veterinary Services.

We are not responsible for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, acts of government, labor disputes, or disruptions to transportation or utilities.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Passing Paws, its officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising from your use of our services or website, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any applicable law or third-party rights.
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of Los Angeles County, California.
