A Peaceful Goodbye, At Home

Your pet passes in the place they love most — surrounded by familiar smells, their favorite spots, and the people who love them. In-home euthanasia is performed by Saving Grace Veterinary Services, our sister company.

Why Families Choose In-Home

  • No clinic anxiety

Pets often experience stress at veterinary offices. At home, they stay calm, comfortable, and at ease — exactly where they should be.

  • Your whole family

Everyone who loves your pet can be present. No waiting rooms, no time limits, no strangers.

  • Your own pace

We never rush you. You set the pace. Take all the time you need before, during, and after.

  • Familiar hands

As the sister company of Saving Grace Veterinary Services, our veterinarians may already know your pet and your family.

Step by Step

What to Expect

  1. Schedule

Book online or call us. We'll confirm your appointment, answer all your questions, and send a gentle guide on how to prepare.

  2. We Arrive

A Saving Grace veterinarian arrives on time in an unmarked vehicle, carrying only what's needed. Nothing clinical. Just care.

  3. Settling In

We give your pet time to relax. The vet will do a brief, gentle assessment and answer any last questions.

  4. The Goodbye

Sedation first, so your pet drifts into a deep, peaceful sleep in your arms. Then the final medication. It's quiet, and it's gentle.

  5. Complimentary Transport

When you're ready, we gently take your pet into Passing Paws's care. Aftercare services are available separately.

How to Prepare Your Home

For Your Pet

  • Choose their favorite spot — bed, couch, the sunny floor by the window
  • Have their favorite blanket or toy nearby
  • Limit stimulation in the hour before (no visitors, quiet music if helpful)
  • Small treat or meal if they're able to eat — let them enjoy it

For Your Family

  • Gather whoever wants to be present — there's no right number
  • Have tissues and water nearby
  • Consider a gentle candle or soft music
  • You don't need to have everything figured out — we'll guide you
